The Digital Music Doctor, Clark Murray, today announced the release of a new interactive video tutorial SONAR 3—Know It All !. SONAR is Cakewalk's flagship product and is one of the most widely used midi and digital audio editors in the music business. Murray, who has produced four albums using SONAR and its predecessor, Cakewalk ProAudio, notes: "This tutorial, designed both for the beginner as well as the experienced musician, contains almost two hours of interactive videos as well as sample projects to help musicians learn all aspects of audio and midi recording, editing, and mixing using SONAR".

The new tutorial, based on the Producer Edition of SONAR 3, is the successor to the popular SONAR—Swift & Deep which covered SONAR 2. It has been significantly expanded and contains sixteen modules. There is a basic section which has three modules devoted to setting up and customizing SONAR, another three which focus on midi recording and editing, and a final three which cover audio recording, editing and mixing. A section, What's New, for SONAR 3 has been added as well as an Advanced Topics section which covers such subjects as VSampler 3 (SpeedSoft) and DXi and VST synthesizers.

SONAR 3—Know It All ! is presented using Macromedia Flash and requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later. The examples used in the tutorials require Cakewalk SONAR 3.0 Producer Edition or later.
