Music Software Popularity - 2008 Q3 |
We have also announced the results of the Music Software Internet Popularity Index for Third Quarter 2008. As in all previous releases of this study DigiDesign Pro Tools holds the lead position. During this period FL Studio moved up one position to edge out Steinberg Cubase for the number two slot. FL Studio continues to be better known by its original name, Fruity Loops, which comprised 79 percent of the searches for the product. Adobe Audition, which had been on a downward trend for the past several quarters, bounced back and moved up four positions to sixth place. This change does not reflect an increase in searches for Adobe Audition, but rather fewer searches for Apple GarageBand, MOTU Digital Performer, and Ableton Live. Sony Sound Forge moved back into eighth place.
