Interactive video tutorials covering all major aspects of digital audio Mixing and Mastering. Demonstrates principles and concepts using Pro Tools 7, Sonar 5, Cubase SX3, Ozone 3, Sound Forge 8, and Audition 1.5 as well as popular audio plug-ins.
This course contains 17 modules and is organized into 3 sections: Overview, Mixing and Mastering. The Overview section introduces the necessary audio engineering concepts. Both the Mixing and Mastering sections are organized into a straightforward framework consisting of 5 elements: Volume, Panning, Dynamics, EQ, and FX.
The course illustrates the principles and concepts of Mixing and Mastering using a number of examples created in popular pro audio products. Examples in the Mixing section use primarily Pro Tools 7, Sonar 5, and Cubase SX3, and examples in the Mastering section concentrate on Ozone 3, Sound Forge 8, and Audition 1.5. Audio plug-ins from Waves Audio, PSP Audioware, and Camel Audio are also demonstrated.

Pro Tools 7
Interactive video tutorials covering all aspects of audio and midi recording, editing, and mixing for DigiDesign Pro Tools 7 LE and M-Powered pro audio software. Includes session examples.
This course contains 21 modules and is organized into 5 sections: There is a Quick Start section which provides an overview of the features and functions in Pro Tools as well as a presentation of the major new features in Pro Tools 7. The next four sections contain detailed instruction on how to use the major functions in Pro Tools and are built on session examples.
The Mixing & Mastering section includes an example of mixing using Sends, Inserts, Plug-ins, and Automation as well as a mastering session using iZotope Ozone. The Loops & Remix section explains the Beat Detective and also walks through creating a loop composition. The MIDI section demonstrates the use of the MIDI Studio Setup and MIDI Operations functions. The Tools & Techniques section covers Recording and Video, as well as Rewire and Software Synthesizers including the use of Propellerheads Reason and the VST-RTAS Adapter.
